Test Engineer
Place of work: Piešťany(job with occasional home office)
Working time: Flexible working hours (core time 9,30-15,00)
Salary: From 3600 EUR, depends on candidate’s experience
Job description:
We’re building something exciting — a brand-new, state-of-the-art Power Electronics & Mechatronics Laboratory spanning over 600 m², and we’re looking for a hands-on, proactive Test Engineer to keep it running smoothly.
This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of innovation, supporting engineers, shaping lab processes, and working with cutting-edge tools and technologies.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain automatic parametric test programs for Keithley test systems
- Configure, operate, and automate measurements using:
- B1500 / B1505 analyzers, ACDC and DCDC high voltage and high power sources
- Keithley HV-SMUs
- Semi-automatic probers
- Design and implement new test methods, including development of custom test hardware, fixtures, and tooling
- Support prototype builds validation activities by designing and fabricating mechanical/electrical test setups
- Perform development of ATE test routines and automation
- Collaborate closely with:
- Device physicists
- Electrical and mechanical engineers
- Test engineers and cross-functional teams
- Provide hands-on technical support to engineering teams and contribute to innovative test and validation solutions
Requirements:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience
- Programming: C++/C#/Python for ATE development
- Experience with lab instrumentation and parametric test systems for power devices (SiC, GaN)
- Knowledge of test methodologies for SiC/Si/GaN discrete=s and power modules
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including debugging and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, FreeCAD)
- Experience with 3D printing and mechanical/electrical tooling
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of statistics
- Knowledge of EHS regulations and commitment to safe working practices
- Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
