Electrical Engineer – Online Engineering Tools & Simulation
We are seeking a self-driven Electrical Engineer to join our team dedicated to empowering the global engineering community. In this role, you will be the bridge between our cutting-edge silicon products and the digital tools that help engineers integrate them into world-changing applications.
You will support the development of high-impact online tools—ranging from intuitive parametric search engines to advanced online SPICE simulations and calculators—that simplify complex design-in processes for our customers.
Place of work: Bratislava (job with occasional home office)
Working time: Flexible working hours (core time 9,30-15,00)
Salary: From 2 200 EUR, depends on candidate’s experience
Job description:
- Tool Architecture & Development: Drive the roadmap for online engineering tools, ensuring they accurately reflect the performance and behavior of our silicon products in real-world scenarios.
- Design Process Integration: Apply your understanding of the applications development process to ensure our tools resonate with how designers think during the early stages of a new applications design cycle.
- Simulation & Modeling: Develop and validate simulation models (SPICE) and advanced calculators for power conversion and analog systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a technical consultant and liaison between our team and various Business Units (BUs). You will extract technical requirements from management representatives across our diverse portfolio, including SiC Power Discretes, Gate Drivers, DC/DC & AC/DC.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering, specifically in power electronics and analog circuit design.
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in analog DC/DC conversion and power topologies (AC/DC, Buck/Boost, LDOs).
- Simulation: Experience in SPICE simulation and a strong grasp of semiconductor modeling, is an advantage.
- Product Lifecycle: Understanding of the silicon development lifecycle, from initial specification to mass production, is an advantage.
- Soft Skills: A collaborative spirit with the ability to influence and gather information from diverse stakeholders across a global organization.
- Ability and willingness to participate in defining the roadmap for online engineering tools and to align software requirements to ensure high usability of the tools.
- Education: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering required; Master or PhD preferred.
